Is Keyword Matching Now More Predictable?

Google Ads recently made an announcement that it updated keyword matching policies so that it can better match the most relevant keyword with a given query.

Although Google said that the changes to make keyword matching “more predictable”, do you agree? The folks at Marketing O’Clock apparently don’t.
