FTC Warning Letters Sent Out

It seems that the FTC has sent out warning letters to a number of websites that have been providing misleading information regarding COVID-19, as well as other health matters.

As you can see John Mueller was asked if Google takes into account these FTC notices, and according to John, “I don’t think Google would know. It might be that there’s some coincidental overlap with what our algorithms look out for, and what the FTC looks out for, but I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t be by design.”
