Different Algorithms Are Used For Different Languages On Google

There was a recent Reddit thread question that appeared titled: “Does Google use the same algorithm for very language?”

In response, John Mueller of Google said that, although Google utilizes the same search algorithms for most of them, there are some situations where a different language might use a different algorithm.

The reddit thread went on to ask about more than just the language algorithms, and about ranking factors and SEO practices as well.

“The BERT update had to do with semantics, so it got me wondering if it would be the same in every language. Which then made me think of other ranking factors, and how their importance might differ among different languages/cultures. Anyway, I want to ask anybody with experience in SEO in another language, if you’ve found any differences between ranking factors?”
